Miscellaneous Information

Miscellaneous Information:

EPTA-European Piano Teachers Association was founded by Carola Grindea, Piano Professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1978. EPTA became a truly European Association in 1979 when one country after another joined and the European EPTA ASSOCIATIONS were established. EPTA prints magazine Piano Journal with abundance of articles about pianist and information about organization work. In this moment, 47 sections are included in EPTA. Croatia became a 13 th section member in 1987, on initiative of professor Vladimir Krpan.

EPTA Croatia initiates multiple actions, concerts and workshops, organizes International Children's piano festival and International Competition for young pianists in Osijek, and International Piano Competition “Svetislav Stančić”, in Zagreb.
